Global Launch of the United Nations Decade of Family Farming 2019-2028, co-organized by FAO and IFAD, will take place on 27-29 May 2019, at FAO Headquarters in Rome.

The main objectives of the event are to:

Present the Decade’s objectives and the Global Action Plan;
Seek for engagement of various stakeholders through concrete actions at country level to support smallholder family farming through enabling policies and investments;
Increase understanding about the potential and multi-dimensional contributions of family farming and how it can contribute to the achievement of SDGs.
